The Youth Mentoring Network is all about connecting people and programs to build a stronger mentoring community within Australia. The amount of support a program needs will depend on their different stage of development or operation. hunter youth mentoring collaborative The Hunter Youth Mentoring Collaborative

The Hunter Youth Mentor Collaborative (HYMC) is an umbrella group for organisations operating youth mentoring programs in the Hunter region. HYMC assists youth mentor groups to develop, support and promote the growth of mentoring programs by providing a strong regional collaborative network involving community, business and government.

Victorian Youth Mentoring Alliance (VYMA) is an independent, non government peak body for the advancement of youth mentoring (under 25yo) in Victoria, Australia. VYMA supports the successful implementation of sustainable mentoring practices in rural and urban communities.

Victorian Regional Coordination Project
 
Through the Office for Youth in the Department of Planning and Community Development, projects are supported in Gippsland, Grampians and metropolitan Melbourne regions. The Helen Macpherson Smith Trust also funds projects in Barwon South West, Hume and Loddon Mallee regions which completes state-wide coverage for regional support to youth mentoring.
 
The Regional Coordination Projects build greater coordination and linkages within communities and across mentoring programs by providing training, professional development on best practice standards, quality assurance, referral, advice and networking for new and existing youth mentoring programs.

About Judith
Judith lectures in the School of Education at Murdoch University. She is a leader in research and development of mentoring in Australia. Judy is an enthusiastic advocate of mentoring as a strategy for personal and career development, as well as community building. Her work encompasses development of theory on mentoring, conducting workshops on mentoring, preparation of mentors and program coordinators, case studies of mentoring and evaluation of mentoring programs. She has been the Project Director of several large national research projects concerning mentoring of young people. Judy has worked in schools as a secondary teacher in three Australian states and in universities as a teacher educator and researcher. She was a member of the steering committee to establish a national mentoring association in Australia. She provides advice to a wide range of organisations about mentoring.

About Sue
Sue Thomas is employed by the University of Western Sydney as a Community Engagement Facilitator for the Office of University Engagement. Her career journey commenced in Secondary high schools as a mathematics teacher, with national training, management and consulting roles across University, Industry, Business and Community sectors reflecting her passion and interest in leadership, welfare, curriculum and innovation.

Sue has collaboratively managed individual high school and regional mentoring and coaching projects focused in the areas of numeracy and literacy, leadership and community service and Indigenous education.
