Kathleen is the Executive Officer of the Australian Youth Mentoring Network. She was employed by the National Youth Mentoring Partnership to create Australia’s first peak body for youth mentoring and has written numerous papers and policy documents on mentoring including working on policy documents which have been submitted to Government, the most recent being the Business Case for School Based Mentoring. She was selected to be one of 25 representatives, and the only Australasian representative, at the 2010 Summer Institute on Youth Mentoring at Portland State University in the USA. Prior to working with the AYMN Kathleen managed the University of Sydney Union’s Welfare Department overseeing the management of three child care centres, and policies and services surrounding drug and alcohol, women’s issues, multicultural services and community service volunteer programs on campus. Kathleen established USU’s first School Based Mentoring Program working with disadvantaged youth in Sydney’s Inner West. She also has over 10 years experience working in the sport and recreation and disability sectors. Kathleen Vella holds a Master's Degree in Management specialising in Community Management and a B.A in Welfare Studies. |

Becky is the Events and Communication Manager for the Australian Youth Mentoring Network and works from Monday to Thursday. Becky joined the AYMN in January 2010 and was inducted with the task of organising the first National Youth Mentoring Conference since 2004. Becky has the pleasure of working with mentoring organisations across Australia to organise AYMN sponsored Forums, Summits and mentor trainings and other networking events. Becky holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Linguistics from the University of Oregon, a Post Graduate Certificate in TESOL from Macquarie University and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. |

Helen is the Membership Manager and Administrative Assistant for the AYMN and works for the AYMN on Fridays. After working in the accounting industry, Helen wanted to be more involved in assisting disadvantaged Australians. She started by working as a volunteer for The Smith Family and then joined the AYMN in February 2007. Helen also puts together our Newsletters, Factsheets and the Research Quarterly. Helen holds a Master's Degree in Taxation and a Bachelor of Commerce. |
